Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how CatchUp collects, uses, protects and manages information when people use our platform.

Last updated: 12 October 2026

1. Introduction

CatchUp is a digital platform that connects people with work opportunities, employers, recruiters, service opportunities and professional participation pathways.

We respect your privacy and aim to collect only information that is reasonably necessary to operate, secure and improve the platform.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use CatchUp, we may collect:

  • Account information such as your name, email address and phone number.
  • Professional information such as skills, experience, work interests, location preferences and profile details.
  • Information received from social sign-in providers such as Google, Facebook or LinkedIn when you choose to use those services.
  • Job-posting, application and platform activity information.
  • Technical information such as browser, device, IP and security logs.

3. Social Login

When you sign in using an external provider, CatchUp may receive basic profile information permitted by that provider, such as your name, verified email address, provider account identifier and profile image.

We use this information to authenticate you, create or link your CatchUp account and protect account access.

4. How We Use Information

  • Create and manage your CatchUp account.
  • Display and match relevant job opportunities.
  • Support applications and employer recruitment workflows.
  • Provide platform security and prevent misuse.
  • Improve platform functionality and user experience.
  • Communicate important account and service information.

5. Information Sharing

CatchUp does not sell your personal information to advertisers.

Information may be shared when necessary to provide a feature you request, comply with law, protect platform security, or work with service providers supporting CatchUp operations.

6. External Job Opportunities

CatchUp may display curated opportunities originating from third-party employers or public recruitment sources.

When you choose to apply at an external source, that organisation's privacy terms and recruitment practices may also apply.

Marketplace Discovery and Connections

To provide service discovery, workforce coordination and matching, CatchUp may process information such as profile details, skills, service categories, availability, request details, approximate location, work preferences, matching signals and account activity.

CatchUp may also process information about how users interact with discovery, matching, contact or access features so that the platform can operate, improve relevance, prevent misuse and support users.

User-to-User Payments and Agreements

Unless CatchUp expressly provides a specific payment feature, payments and service agreements between users are arranged directly between those users.

CatchUp does not need users to publish bank-account credentials, card details, mobile-money PINs, passwords or similar financial security information in public profiles, service requests or public-facing content.

Users should not place sensitive payment credentials or other unnecessary financial security information in public fields.

If CatchUp introduces a payment feature in the future, information about the payment provider, the information processed and the applicable terms or privacy practices will be presented for that feature.

Location and Service Information

CatchUp may use location information to support nearby discovery and matching. Public-facing areas should generally use an approximate area, city, district or similar location rather than exposing a user's precise private address unless the user chooses or the relevant workflow requires otherwise.
